Bestfriend Visits

Bestfriend L visits Bestfriend B before she goes of to US to be deployed for six months. It was great seeing her and having some chismis time with her since we didn’t really get to do that the last time we saw each other.

And now for some pictures. L didn’t get to go to the city area the last time she was here so she wanted to go there and have the obligatory picture with the Merlion and Esplanade. I was whining the whole time but I had a blast. Hrhr.

The viewing deck, a photobomber’s heaven. Haha!

The night was spent in Marina Bay Sands. We met up with ze husband and N&J. En route to the Skypark, we saw a viewing deck in MBS which shows a different (better, IMHO) view of the skyline and the Esplanade. We were just in time for the water and light/laser show extravaganza. Same technology as the Songs of the Sea show, so yeah, we totally loved it.

We were planning to go to the Skypark but it was almost closing (10PM) when we went so that plan was foiled. So then we proceeded to the casino! Since ze husband is a permanent resident already, we had to pay SGD 100 just to enter. Bah.

Marina Bay Sands

Since taking of photos inside the casino wasn’t allowed, I just took a photo of my friends with the sign. Tourists! Ha!

Anyway, it was my first time inside a casino! Yay, free coffee/tea/bottled water. We played with the slot machines because they were the only ones that we can afford (that sounded dirty). I think I won like twenty dollars (which of course I promptly lost in the same machine). Ze husband was luckier, he got back the money that we paid for his entrance to the casino. Haha. You can really get caught up easily with the games and I think I understand why a lot of people have gambling problems (Paging long lost K). Haha.

We had a blast. And I think the bestfriend enjoyed herself as well.
